Q. Is Common Ground a part of a certain denomination?
A. Yes. While we want to stress the main beliefs that most Christians agree on, we are a Presbyterian (USA) congregation.
Q. How did Common Ground get started?
A. The district of Presbyterian churches in the Youngstown/Akron area believed that some new approaches to ministry were needed and called Steve & Nancy to Austintown in 2002. That ministry evolved into the Common Ground New Church Development, which had it's public beginning April 4, 2004.
Q. How is the ministry supported?
A. We are now fully self-sufficient, after having been supported by the Eastminster Presbytery (area Presbyterian churches, The Synod of the Covenant, and the Presbyterian Church (USA)).
